You may be hearing about smallpox vaccinations in the news.
This page is designed to answer your questions about smallpox
and the vaccination. There are currently no cases of smallpox.
Information provided to state and county officials continues
to assess the risk of an intentional release of smallpox as
low. Health officials stress that upcoming, pre outbreak vaccination
efforts are part of a comprehensive bioterrorism preparedness
program in development by the state and Atlantic County.
