COMMUNITY POLICING TO REDUCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

March 13-15, 2002 and September 25-27, 2002. This 3-day proactive course utilizes the philosophy of Community Policing for police officers, advocates and emergency services personnel. The concentration of this course is to help the student better understand the dynamics of domestic violence, the reasons that victims remain in a home with a batterer, and to have increased awareness on how to assist the victim with Safety Planning and Full Faith and Credit issues.
