Atlantic County Senior Centers Host September Open Houses
The average American is living longer. According to statistics, the average lifespan has increased by as many as eight years during the last century to reach 78 years for women and 73 years for men.
Atlantic County Senior Centers recognize our increased longevity by providing a number of programs and services to help residents age 60 and above to enjoy happy, healthful and fulfilling lives.
To learn more about the activities offered at the county's nine senior centers, residents are invited to a series of open houses during the month of September during which National Senior Center Month is celebrated.
Each center is open 9 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday. In addition to social activities, informative programs, exercise and volunteer opportunities, the centers provide a daily lunch at no charge. Participants are asked to call the center of their choice two days prior to their attendance to reserve a lunch. Transportation is also available.
