Collection: The mission of the College Archives is to collect, organize and make available records of Stockton College which have historical, research, legal, fiscal, and/or administrative value. Collections include books, magazines, media, newspapers, manuscripts, photographs and realia on the history of Atlantic City, the impact of gambling on the region, and Atlantic City redevelopment and housing. Published works on Atlantic and Cape May Counties as well as other areas of southern New Jersey are collected. Materials on the environment of southern New Jersey, its bays and waterways, are collected including the Geological Survey of New Jersey. Also included are the Pine Barrens/Pinelands collection covering the history, geography, agriculture and ecology of the region, and documents and meeting minutes from the Pinelands Commission. The College Archives and Special Collections are open to the public. The Archives Reading Room is located in the E-Wing library on the lower level. Produced in cooperation with the Atlantic Heritage Center. |
