Museum:  Visit New Jersey's tallest lighthouse, and the country's third tallest lighthouse! This two-acre site features the 152 year old lighthouse tower, rising 171 feet. Climb the 228 steps (admission donation requested), and experience the original first-order Fresnel lens still in place at the top. See spectacular 360 degree views of Atlantic City on the wrap-around deck outside the watch room. Absecon Lighthouse has free parking, outdoor exhibits, a Fresnel Lens exhibit in the old Oil House for those not able to climb, and a Keeper's Cottage. Educational programs and special events offered. The lighthouse is available for rent for special events. Located 4 blocks north of the Showboat Casino.
