Meetings:  Monthly meetings held on the third Wednesday at the Buena Vista Township Hall at 7 pm, and include presentations. Open to all.

Museum:  Currently searching for a museum site.

Collection: Genealogical records, maps, census records, photographs, artifacts, early books, deeds, church records, cemetery records representing the history of Buena Vista Township and Buena Borough.

Museum:  Specializes in Northfield photographs and memorabilia, including school history, sports and organizations. Limited genealogical records are available.


CHICKEN BONE BEACH HISTORICAL FOUNDATION

Collection: This organization is named for the Atlantic City beach at Missouri Avenue where African Americans through the early 1950's were socially restricted. When thousands of vacationing Black families flocked to the shore with their chicken laden picnic hampers, the strip became affectionately nicknamed "Chicken Bone Beach". The Atlantic City Council passed an ordinance Wednesday August 6, 1997 declaring the Missouri Avenue beach a local historical land site. The organization's collection include a wide range of materials but highlights African American musicians and entertainers who performed in Atlantic City.

Specialty:  Special programming includes free jazz concerts on the Atlantic City boardwalk on Thursday nights during the summer featuring musicians of national and international repute.


CORBIN CITY HISTORICAL SURVEY

Meetings:  First Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Corbin City Hall. Guest speakers. Open to the public.

Collection: A photographic survey of houses and commercial buildings has been completed.

Specialty:  The survey is dedicated to the pursuit and preservation of information on families and structures, past and present, of Corbin City.


EGG HARBOR CITY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Meetings:  Last Monday of the month, 7:30 pm

Museum:  The Roundhouse Museum is housed in a building which was once part of the Dr. Smith’s Neutral Waters Health Resort ca. 1905, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Main area of the museum is handicapped accessible.

Collection: Memorabilia, artifacts, and photographs with special emphasis on local industries, civic organizations, churches, and inhabitants of this community established by German immigrants and where German was the primary language until after World War I. City tax records from 1862-1932, US census records from 1860 to 1930 (computerized), local family genealogies, and photographic files.


ESTELL MANOR HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Meetings:  Third Thursday of each month at 7 pm.Open to all.

Museum:  Historic Risley School has been rehabilitated into a small museum, library, community meeting room, and classroom.
