Projects Serving Artists Collection

This collection of materials was purchased by the Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs to enhance the instruction of the arts in Atlantic County. The materials are available for a four week loan to art educators in the county’s schools and arts organizations. The collection will be kept in the Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Atlantic County Library/ Mays Landing, 40 Farragut Avenue, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.

To borrow materials from this collection, please fill out the application form and return by mail, or by fax (609 625-8143). You may borrow two items from the collection at a time. Your request will be confirmed by phone and a pick-up point determined. Materials to be borrowed may be picked up and returned at any of the Atlantic County Library System branches, Brigantine, Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township, Hammonton, Longport, Mays Landing, Pleasantville, Somers Point, or Ventnor. You will be held responsible for lost or damaged items in the collection during the checkout period. An evaluation form will be included in the materials to be completed and returned with the items. Take 5 Series: 5 large reproductions focusing on a particular theme are packaged with a comprehensive exploration of the artwork and an insightful view into the artist’s background and or environment that influenced the artist’s work. A guided analysis helps to lead the viewers through the following critical insights: cultural context, subject, elements of design, principles of design, media and techniques, styles and expressive properties.
