Summer Exhibit Features Atlantic County Teen Artists
Beginning Sunday, June 14, an exhibit of original artwork of more than 100 Atlantic County youth will be featured at the Atlantic City Art Center on Garden Pier, New Jersey Avenue and the Boardwalk, Atlantic City.
The exhibit showcases the talents of young artists of all backgrounds and demonstrates the universality of artistic expression from sculpture to painting, drawing and printmaking. Work was selected for the exhibit from entries in the 2009 Atlantic County Teen Arts Festival, sponsored by the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
An opening reception will be held on June 14 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Admission is free and the Art Center is open seven days a week from 10 am to 4 pm, excluding holidays.
On Wednesday, July 1, the exhibit will move to the Young at Art Gallery at the Noyes Museum of Art, 733 Lily Lake Road, Oceanville. The museum is open Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Sunday, 12 noon to 5:00 pm. There is a charge for admission. A closing reception will be held on Sunday, July 26 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at which time artists may retrieve their pieces.
