Senior Centers Celebrate Veterans Day
Three of the county’s nine senior centers will feature a special meal and decorations on Thursday, November 9 to commemorate Veterans Day. Atlantic County residents age 60 and older are invited to attend the Brigantine Center, Buena Center or Leinweber Center in Northfield.
The Atlantic County senior centers, operated by the Division of Intergenerational Services, offer a variety of activities including crafts, line dancing, computer classes, self defense courses and bingo. A lunch time meal is served daily. There is no charge to participate however, a $1.00 donation is requested to enhance programs. The centers are open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and occasionally in the evening for special activities and events.
Residents interested in attending the Veterans Day activities may call the location of their choice to make a lunch reservation by November 6. Contact information is included below:
