Free Re-Employment Information Sessions Provided March 11-April 18

Residents who would like to learn more about the free job search assistance available at the Atlantic County One Stop Career Centers are invited to attend the Re-Employment Public Information Sessions that will be held during March and April at various Atlantic County library branches. "Many individuals and families are struggling as a result of the current economic recession. We want to be sure that our residents are aware of the available programs to help them secure and maintain employment," stated County Executive Dennis Levinson. "And sometimes the best way to ensure that is to bring the information to them." Each session is expected to last no more than 1-1/2 hours and will provide an overview of the One Stop System. One Stop System representatives will discuss the unemployment claims process, online resources for job searches, employment counseling, services to improve literacy, the tuition waiver program and job training grants, summer employment services for youth and young adults, GED testing, as well as services for individuals with disabilities, veterans and senior citizens. There is no cost to attend or required registration. The sessions are sponsored by Atlantic County government, the Atlantic County Library System and the Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board.
