Tuesday, January 22, 2008 Veterans Service Medal Presentation to Meadowview Nursing Home ResidentsCounty Executive Dennis Levinson will present the Atlantic County Veterans Service Medal to 31 current residents of Meadowview and to family members of six former Meadowview residents who recently passed away. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, January 23 at 11 AM at the Meadowview Nursing Home, 235 Dolphin Avenue, Northfield. In 2007 Atlantic County created the Atlantic County Veterans Service Medal to honor residents, living and deceased, who served their country in the U.S. Armed Forces. The medal is presented to recognize veterans for their service and to ensure that they are never forgotten. To date, more than 1,300 veterans have received the medal. Applications will continue to be accepted and are available online at www.aclink.org/veterans as well as in the county's library branches, nutrition centers and Office of Veterans Services, 6601 Ventnor Avenue, Ventnor. |
