Thursday, November 29, 2007 Atlantic County Unveils Military Wall of Honor In Memory of Iraq/Afghanistan CasualtiesCounty Executive Dennis Levinson will unveil the Atlantic County Wall of Honor on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 11 AM in the County Office Building, 1333 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City. The permanent display is a tribute to Atlantic County veterans who died while serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. It will include plaques honoring four such casualties, each of whom served in the U.S. Army: Marc S. Seiden, formerly of Brigantine, who died January 2, 2004; Eric G. Palacios Rivera, formerly of Atlantic City, who died November 14, 2006; Sameer A.M. Rateb, formerly of Brigantine, who died May 6, 2007; and Anthony J. Sausto, formerly of Somers Point, who died May 10, 2007. "There are no words that can adequately express our sorrow for the loss of these courageous young men who had so much life yet to live. But we can help ensure that they will not be forgotten," stated Levinson. "This memorial is one way in which we can honor their memory and in doing so, honor their contributions to the preservation of freedom throughout the world." The memorial was created in cooperation with the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 155, and the Atlantic County Veterans Advisory Board. For more information, please contact Howard J.
