Wreaths Across America
The Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery is one of 1,000 facilities across the world that is participating in the Wreaths Across America program by which fresh balsam wreaths are placed at gravesites in remembrance of veterans during the holiday season. The wreaths are a symbolic tribute for the sacrifice and service of our military heroes and to help ensure that they are not and never will be forgotten. An initial presentation was held on Saturday, December 14, National Wreaths Across America Day, at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. Seven wreaths were presented in honor of each of the five branches of military service, POWs and all veterans and spouses interred at the cemetery. Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization. For more information, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org or call Bob Frolow, Atlantic County Veterans Services Officer at (609) 487-6932.
