Joseph D'Abundo, County Engineer Primarily, the Division of Engineering plans, designs, inspects and administers all construction contracts relating to county roads, bridges, traffic signals and related infrastructure. The division has a land surveying section that prepares surveys as required for county properties. In addition to its primary responsibility, the Division of Engineering also assists other county entities by performing the following tasks:
Major responsibilities of the Division's sections include: SURVEYING. Measure and record field data for the design of county projects; perform land surveys for county-owned properties. DESIGN. Using computer technology, design roadways, intersections, traffic signals and bridges; prepare all construction contract documents. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING. Design traffic signal systems; perform traffic counts and radar surveys. CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION. Inspect all county construction projects and road openings. |
