| Biography:
Elected District-One Freeholder in November 2007. Freeholder Garrett is a board member of the African American Heritage Museum, the United Way and the American Conference on Diversity. He is also serves on the Jersey Shore Council Boy Scouts of America Board of Directors and is a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is a Vietnam veteran and a member of the American Legion. Freeholder Garrett has owned and operated two businesses in New York City, NY. Upon returning from New York City, he accepted employment with Atlantic County. He is currently the Manager of Community Relations with the South Jersey Transportation Authority. Freeholder Garrett was born and raised in Atlantic City where he currently resides with his wife Augusta. He is the father of two adult children, Jelani Garrett and Angela Hubbard and the grandfather of eight grandchildren. |
