BOARD OF ELECTIONS - POLL WORKER PROGRAM

Patriotism is a word we’ve heard a lot lately. The Board of Elections has an opportunity for you to turn patriotic words into actions. You’re invited to serve your community and country as a Poll Worker through the County Poll Worker Program.

The Board of Elections must staff and manage polling places for the General Election. To accomplish this task we depend on the commitment of civic-minded citizens who are trained to manage the many complexities of Election Day.

The use of the County’s electronic voting system makes the expertise of Poll Workers especially important. All workers who volunteer will receive training.
It is vital to recruit reliable poll workers such as YOU!

The Board of Elections is currently recruiting poll workers. This important civic responsibility is open to all registered voters in Atlantic County. Bilingual Spanish speaking poll workers are especially needed.
Help us meet the following goals:

  • Provide trained staff at poll locations on Election Day
  • Maintain a reliable force of trained poll workers
  • Reinforce electronic voting in Atlantic County
  • Increase and strengthen the availability of bilingual poll workers

We know you understand that conducting an election requires a great deal of coordination, so when you sign-up you become an important element of this intricately woven process. Because we depend on you we require a commitment.

Before you sign up, please be sure you can commit to working from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. While all efforts are made to place volunteers as close to home as possible, it is not a guarantee.
