Storm Update - November 1, 1:30 PM

Atlantic County remains under a state of emergency and travel ban into and on the barrier island communities of Brigantine, Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport. Access remains prohibited at this time. Governor Christie will be holding a press conference this afternoon at which time he may have updated information.

In the meantime Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson has made a formal request asking the governor to lift the ban for Brigantine, Margate and Longport after conferring with their mayors. Atlantic City and Ventnor are still experiencing public safety and public health concerns which may delay the return of their residents.
