Upcoming Events on Lake Lenape, Mays Landing

The lake surface within Lake Lenape Park in Mays Landing will be closed to the general public on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 to accommodate the Winding River Boating Association's 23rd annual Daniel J. Murphy Memorial Regatta. Racing begins at noon and continues through 4 PM both days. Access to the racing pits and water entry is available from the Cove on Park Road. Spectators can view the race from the Lake Lenape county park at 6303 Old Harding Highway (Rt. 40). For more information about the race visit www.windingriverboatingassn.org or call (609) 927-0942.

On Saturday, September 22, Lake Lenape Park will host the 12th Annual Fall Antique Boat Show sponsored by the Knuckle Busters Antique Boating Organization. The in and out-of-water show will be held 7:30 AM to 4 PM and feature vintage boats, motors and accessories. For more information about the show call Joe Walters at (609) 476-0455. The lake will remain open to the public throughout the day with access to the boat ramp, 7:30 AM until dusk.
