Services for July 5
Water and ice will continue to be distributed to Atlantic County residents on Thursday, July 5, 8 AM to 4 PM at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.
Residents seeking relief from the heat may call their local Office of Emergency Management for locations of municipal cooling stations and hours of operation. Contact numbers are available in the phone book and online at www.ReadyAtlantic.org.
County library branches will reopen tomorrow during normal business hours and provide another option for relief from the heat. The Mays Landing and Egg Harbor Township branches, however, were still without power as of yesterday and may remain closed.
County senior centers will also be open tomorrow for residents 60 years of age and older with the exception of the Egg Harbor Township site located at the Egg Harbor Township community center. Residents who normally visit that site may call 1-888-426-9243 after 8 AM on Thursday to request transportation to another site.
